Unpacking Introversion: Your Personal Blueprint
This activity invites you to explore common stereotypes about introverts and to define your own understanding of introversion by reflecting on your personal experiences and truths. By examining these stereotypes, you'll create a brief "blueprint" that captures what introversion means to you.

Stereotype Brainstorm
Think about common ideas or stereotypes people have about introverts. List 3-5.
If you need ideas, head over to the blog Busting Common Myths About Introverts.
Personal Connection
For each stereotype you listed above, reflect on whether you have ever felt that stereotype applied to you, even partially. You can simply make a note next to each one (e.g., "Sometimes," "Not really," "Yes, in certain situations"). Alternatively, you can write your general thoughts on introvert stereotypes.
Myth Busting - The Personal Truth
For each stereotype, write down your personal "truth". This could be:
A time you acted in a way that contradicted the stereotype.
A personal belief or value that challenges the stereotype.
A perspective on that trait as it relates to introversion for you.
My Introvert Blueprint Statement
Based on your reflections, write a short statement (2-3 sentences) that summarizes your personal understanding of introversion. What does it mean for you?
Conclusion
Remember, stereotypes are not your personal truth and shouldn’t limit your vision of yourself or your potential. Acknowledging these stereotypes empowers you to defy them when they don’t fit. Let your personal blueprint serve as a reminder of your authentic self as you navigate life and pursue your goals!
