This activity helps you understand what drains and what replenishes your energy as an introvert.

  1. Track Your Activities: Over the next few days, pay attention to how different activities make you feel. Create a simple two-column list: 'Energy Drains' and 'Energy Replenishers.'

  2. Reflect on Interactions: Think about the social interactions you have. Which ones left you feeling depleted? Which ones felt positive or neutral? Note them down in your chart.

  3. Consider Your Alone Time: How did you spend your alone time? Did it truly feel restorative, or were you still engaging in draining activities (like endless scrolling)? Again, use the chart to identify the alone time activities that drained you and those that replenished you.

  4. Reflect on the Drainers: Reflect on the ‘Energy Drains’ column. What makes those activities draining? Can you identify methods for making them less draining? Do you need to set boundaries with yourself and others surrounding these activities? Use this reflection to make yourself aware and develop a plan to reduce draining activities or plan to replenish your energy following the activity/interaction.

  5. Identify Your Replenishers: Review the 'Energy Replenishers' column. Which of the 10 habits mentioned in this post resonate most with you? Which ones do you already do, and which ones could you incorporate more?

  6. Plan One Replenishing Activity: Choose one activity from your 'Energy Replenishers' list and intentionally schedule time for it this week. Treat it like an important appointment.
